Months after demanding a trade, Deshaun Watson, one of the best and brightest quarterbacks in the NFL, is dealing with multiple sexual assault allegations. He is in a world of trouble but we really don’t know enough to form a fair conclusion and position on this matter.
There are a few ways to look at this. But before we dive into this, let me state that I do not condone sexual abuse, the degradation or exploitation of women. It is just wrong, culprits should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and no woman should be subjected to unwanted advances, comments, actions, etc. Now back to the different ways to view this matter.
One perspective is that the athlete may have abused his position, profile, name and popularity to demand sexual favors from the women who are making the allegations. Another way of looking at this is to suggest that the women may have seen an opportunity for a big payday by giving in to his alleged requests for sexual favors with the intent of alleging sexual harassment later. Essentially gold diggers. Yet another viewpoint is that if he did in fact want sexual favors, and demanded them during a massage; it could be that the masseuse was initially ok with the request, but changed her mind during the act or after.
At this point, I would be remiss if I did not state that some massage parlors offer ‘happy endings’, aka sexual favors, to their clients. This does not condone a client forcing an employee to engage in sexual acts but might explain why a client might think that receiving such services is possible. I understand that you can book a massage and either before or during the treatment, ask and pay for additional

Itaque earum rerum hic tenetur a sapiente delectus, ut aut reiciendis voluptatibus maiores alias consequatur aut perferendis doloribus asperiores repellat.
The fact that there are so many women making allegations is a problem for Mr. Watson. But it could be that a therapist who provided the service and at the time was fine with it, after seeing someone allege sexual harassment; decides that they want to file an allegation as well. There are so many possibilities.
The point to take from all of this is that we don’t have all the information, facts, evidence and truths about what happened in each case. We should not assume that every case is the same. Mr. Watson’s lawyer has stated that in some of the cases, the sexual acts were consensual. This could be true. However, there is always the matter of a person’s right to change their mind regarding a request for sexual activity by another person.
In the case of a female, as dudes we have to remember that a woman reserves the right to say ‘NO’ at any time durIng a sexual act and that her ‘NO’ must be respected and honored. We fail to do this to our peril and leave ourselves liable to allegations of rape, sexual assault, etc.
There are just so many unknowns at the moment and this is going to be a difficult period for everyone involved. In this regard, people should not take a position until all the facts are known.
